The Power of Visualization
There are plenty of studies to demonstrate that negative expectation can enhance the negative experience. Clinical hypnotherapist Steve G. Jones says that if you have not created a clear and concise vision of how you will achieve financial independence within your mind, then what you have done is created a vision of how you will not achieve it! In other words, by not using visualization to your advantage, you have used it to your disadvantage and created perhaps a vision of yourself working for someone else or just not making the money that you need to be financially free.
Your self-image is made up of the mental pictures that you feed into your mind. Symbols and messages that surround you influence your subconscious mind. Murphy claims that all things that have happened to you are based on your thoughts impressed on your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is like the soil, which accepts any kind of seed, good or bad. You are a gardener, and you are planting seeds (messages) in your subconscious mind all day long. Your thoughts are like seeds. Negative, destructive messages continue to work negatively in your subconscious mind, and in due time will come forth into outer experience which corresponds with them. Thus, as you sow in your subconscious mind, so shall you reap in your body and environment. You may be not aware of it, but with this power you created your present reality, and with the same power you can change your reality. Visualization Is A Powerful Technique
Visualization is a powerful technique. Your subconscious mind creates your reality through the messages you send to it. Regardless of what you may think, life does not just happen.
Steve G. Jones claims that every single event that you have experienced is the direct result of the mental picture that you have created for yourself. Successful people always visualize the kind of success they want to enjoy in advance by imagining their goals as already accomplished. Prior to every new experience, they visualize previous success experiences that are similar to the upcoming event. They mentally visualize themselves achieving the desired result. This makes it much easier for them to do so in real life situations because the mind cannot tell the difference between an event experienced in real life and an even created within the mind. Unsuccessful people on the other hand, recall their previous failure experiences. They think about the last time they failed and they imagine failing again. As a result, their subconscious minds have been programmed for failure. Ron Holland says that if you have been doing affirmations over a period of years and not been getting anywhere it would be wise to look inwardly at the pictures that you have been holding about yourself. The only time you can and will accomplish your goals is when you get the words and the pictures to match. Most people are absolute total incongruity between the words and the pictures. In other words they are not aware that their conscious and subconscious mind (their left and right hemisphere of their brain) are pulling in opposite directions. Joseph Murphy says that when your desires and imagination are in conflict, your imagination invariably wins. This is why so many people fail to accomplish their goals and why others suffer from unhappiness and depression. It is salient that you clear any contradictory thoughts. Feed Your Mind With Success Images!
Pictures we draw or hang on a wall reflect our subconscious images influencing our life. Your self-image is made up of the mental pictures that you feed into your mind. You can choose to feed your mind with positive, exciting, success images or vice versa, you can end up allowing yourself to be preoccupied by failure images. I started to pay attention on the pictures that surrounded me after I had seen the movie "The Secret". I discovered that when complaining all the time that I am the only one who cleans and washes dishes I had a poster of Pierre-Auguste Renoir "The Inn of Mere Anthony“ on my kitchen wall where a woman cleans dishes.
Ron Holland says that when you have set yourself a goal and have only half visualized it and only inserted a very incomplete program into your biocomputer, you're drawn like a very powerful magnet to run on old programs. You go back to your comfort zones and slide down a few snakes. You must stay focused on the car, the money, the house or whatever it is that you want and only think of that. Brad Yates advises to indulge in all the positive feelings you expect to experience while enjoying this thing in your life, to allow the positive feelings to wash over you and through you. When you feel good, the good things are attracted to you. Feel the joy and the way you would feel if you had the perfect solution. As you sustain this mood, you shall experience the joy of the manifestation. It is essential to surround yourself with uplifting and encouraging pictures and messages. For example, if you have poster on the wall with the quotation „Where there is an open window there exists limitless opportunity“, it lifts you up and encourages you every time when you feel frustrated and doors seem to be closed. Beautiful posters with motivational quotations help you focus your mind on things that you want in your life. Surrounding yourself with uplifting posters you’ll feed your mind with success images and increase ultimately your success. If you look back, you will find that almost everything you visualized positively eventually came true for you. |
